He was born Dec. 1, 1923, in Goliad, to the late Fred and Cornelia Gentry Tumlinson. He served in the U.S. Army, was a rancher, and had retired from DuPont. Survivors: wife, Mattye Bego Tumlinson; daughter, Mindy Sullivan of Goliad; brother Fred Tumlinson Jr. of Portland, Ore. and one granddaughter. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Goliad Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Bette Burris officiating. Colonial Funeral Home, Goliad, 361-645-3216.
